How does marketing consent work for email and SMS?

How express marketing consent is captured and logged on a STUDIO site, what fans see at sign-in, why a phone number collected later is not SMS consent, and how opt-outs work per channel.

Consent is express and captured per channel, so email and SMS are always separate permissions.

What the fan sees

A fan sees the disclosure before EVEN captures anything. At sign-in, the disclosure copy names the artist and the label. The fan confirms with a one-time code, then immediately receives a confirmation message carrying STOP and unsubscribe instructions. The opt-out is there from the very first message a fan receives.

How it is logged

EVEN logs SMS and email consent separately. Each record carries a timestamp and the version of the disclosure the fan actually saw. That version history lets you show exactly what a fan agreed to and when.

Phone numbers collected after sign-in

A phone number added after sign-in never becomes SMS consent. A fan might give a number for order updates, or at any other point once they are signed in, and that number still carries no permission to market to them by text. The platform enforces this automatically, so nobody has to remember the rule.

Opting out

Fans reply STOP to any text to stop texts, or click the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails. The two channels run independently, so stopping one leaves the other in place. Marketing messages are never a condition of buying anything.

Set before launch

Your EVEN team confirms the opt-in language with you during campaign setup, before launch. That way the disclosure names the parties actually involved and describes the actual data use.
