How is STUDIO different from the EVEN marketplace and app?
How the self-serve EVEN marketplace and the enterprise STUDIO product differ in who builds the campaign, what each includes, and why a campaign can run on both surfaces at once.
STUDIO and the EVEN marketplace are two different products running on the same rails. The marketplace is self-serve and open to every artist. STUDIO is the enterprise product, where EVEN puts a team around your campaign and builds it for you.
The marketplace
The marketplace at even.biz is open to every artist, with no approval queue. Artists build and publish their own releases there. It suits an artist who wants to put a release out without a campaign built around it.
STUDIO
STUDIO is the enterprise product. It gives you the artist’s own domain, modules configured to your rollout, a dedicated EVEN team across Client Services and Artist Relations, and chart registration and data work at campaign level. EVEN builds the campaign with your team rather than leaving it to your team, and access is invite only.
What changes in practice
The real difference is who does the work. On the marketplace, the artist sets up the release and writes to support when something needs changing. On STUDIO, your EVEN team builds the campaign, handles chart registration, plans the calendar back from street date and stays in a shared thread with you throughout. Only STUDIO offers custom modules, artist domains and chart work at campaign level. You supply the creative and the inventory, and EVEN builds and runs the product behind it.
They can run together
Your campaign can connect to the artist’s STUDIO site, to the EVEN app and marketplace, or to both. The choice is yours. Some teams make the STUDIO the main destination and use the marketplace as an extra place to reach fans. Chart reporting, fan data ownership and support work the same way whichever route you take.
