Can we change the tracklist or price after pre-orders open?
What is fixed once pre-orders open on a chart campaign, which pricing changes are still possible and the floors that constrain them, how to request a change, and the lead time a new storefront URL needs.
On chart campaigns the tracklist and the track count lock when pre-orders open, and you cannot add to the album afterward. You can still change the minimum price, but chart floors always apply, and the change goes through your EVEN team so the chart bodies are notified.
What locks
The tracklist and the track count lock. You cannot expand the album after purchase or release. Fans see the release date and tracklist from the moment pre-orders open, and both hold for the whole pre-order window. Treat the record as final before offers go live.
What can still move
The minimum price can still move. Chart floors apply underneath any change you make. Under applicable chart rules, US digital albums at $7.99 and up can be reported to Luminate, and UK chart-reported campaigns carry a £5.49 minimum. EVEN applies the right floor during setup so your pricing stays above the eligibility threshold, and a price change cannot take a campaign under it.
How to request a change
Raise the change in the shared thread with your EVEN team. They make the change and notify the chart bodies. The chart bodies need to hear about it, because a price change they are never told about puts your eligibility at risk.
What fans see
Make the release date, tracklist and access conditions clear before purchases open. Pre-order cancellations and refunds follow the agreement and the applicable campaign policy; do not promise a universal pre-release refund window.
Plan storefront changes early
For US reporting, a new storefront URL needs approval at least 14 days before offers go live; an already approved, live storefront needs no new URL approval. Every UK campaign needs 14 days’ notice to OCC and Kantar, including campaigns on an existing URL. Your EVEN team builds these deadlines into the calendar.
