Can the same album be sold on other D2C stores at the same time?

Why a STUDIO campaign can run alongside your other direct-to-fan stores, the one exclusivity condition on early track access, how the four D2C variants are counted, and how physical and streaming are treated.

Yes. You can keep selling the album on your other direct-to-fan stores while a STUDIO campaign runs, and most campaigns do exactly that.

The one condition

There is one condition, and it covers early access. Only one storefront per album release can carry exclusive early track access. If the STUDIO site is the one offering early tracks, no other D2C store can offer them on the same album.

The variant allowance

Variants are where a retail plan is most likely to run into a conflict. Under applicable chart rules, you get four D2C exclusive variants per release, and the digital album variant carrying exclusive early access uses one of them. That leaves three for everything else across your retail plan, so map the whole plan before anything goes on sale. Your EVEN team maps the variant plan with you at kickoff, which surfaces conflicts before pre-orders open.

Physical

Physical variants follow the chart rules for physical product, and they count separately from the digital exclusive. Exclusive early track access attaches to digital albums only, so you cannot attach it to a physical purchase.

Streaming

Streaming carries on exactly as planned. The album still goes wide on release day, and the early access window applies only to the artist’s own storefront.

Where the STUDIO site sits in the retail plan

The STUDIO site is one more destination alongside the D2C stores and streaming services already in your plan. It gives you a direct sale, and it gives your team a fan record to use afterward. Bring it into the retail plan at kickoff, and the exclusivity condition and the variant count both stay easy to manage.
